Meteor Shower

A meteor shower is a natural phenomenon that occurs when a large number of meteors, or small pieces of space debris, enter Earth’s atmosphere and burn up, creating streaks of light in the sky.

Meteor showers are typically caused by the Earth passing through the debris field of a comet, and they often occur at regular intervals, as the Earth passes through the same part of the comet’s orbit each year.

When a meteor shower occurs, it can produce a dazzling display of shooting stars, with many meteors visible in the sky at the same time.

Some of the most famous meteor showers include the Perseids, the Geminids, and the Leonids.
