Trichaptum

Trichaptum is a fungus genus. In 1904 the genus was defined by American mycologist William Alphonso Murrill. Previously classified as a member of the family Polyporaceae, various genetic analyses have revealed that the genus now belongs to the order Hymenochaetales.
