Hannes Bok, pen name for Wayne Francis Woodard, was an and illustrator who also dabbled in astrology and wrote fiction and poetry. He created approximately 150 covers for fiction, , and mystery fiction publications, as well as hundreds of -and- inner images. Bok's appeared on the covers of calendars and early fanzines, as well as on the dust jackets of specialized publishers like as Arkham House, Llewellyn, Shasta Publishers, and Press. His paintings took on a dazzling appearance because to an onerous glazing method he learnt from his instructor, Maxfield Parrish.
