Nosy Mangabe is a tiny island reserve in Antongil Bay, about 2 kilometers off the coast of Maroantsetra in north-east Madagascar.
It may be reached by small boat and is part of the larger Masoala National Park complex.
It is a tropical rainforest preserve and refuge for the aye-aye lemur (Daubentonia madagascariensis).
It’s close enough to Maroantsetra for a day excursion, but staying overnight is advisable to witness the nocturnal aye-aye.
